Finishing Our Hats
What We Learned
Today’s lesson focused on finishing work. Everyone brought their finished rectangle from last lesson and turned them into hats that will be donated to PIN Ministry to give to people in need.
Invisible Join
We learned how to create an invisible seam to turn the rectangle into a tube using a tapestry needle, using the whip stitch.

Cinch the Top
The next step was to cinch the top using the running stitch.

Our First Project Done!
With these 2 simple stiches, a rectangle can easily be made into a hat!
GREAT JOB EVERYONE!!

Addons
We talked about adding inches to the height of your hat (but NOT the width) to add a brim to turn up.
We talked about pom poms too. You can easily make a pompom with your matching yarn by watching this video.
